Another Wedding Wednesday here (well Thursday, because life is life and things have gotten really busy lately!) featuring my bridal shower. Before we jump into this, let’s be real, it’s def been a minute since I last wrote on this platform and I think this is the perfect topic to get me back in the swing of things!
As I sit here reminiscing with all the photos, I can’t help but feel blessed. It was everything I dreamed of and more. I was surrounded by so many amazing people who each took pride in celebrating our love that day. The vibe of the day was super girly with hints of white, pink and gold. My mother, mother-in-law, future sisters and best friends did a KILLER job bringing my Pinterest board to life. They made the room look absolutely stunning and all I can say is that I am one lucky girl!
The place where my mother hosted the shower was in a small trattoria branched off from the famous café in Roslyn, Diane's. I grew up eating there with my mom so it just seemed appropriate. I knew I wanted to serve brunch food and an endless amount of Bellini’s (cut to the photo “Cheers with a Bellini to the future Mrs. Pini”). Diane’s is known for their amazing pastries so even though I couldn’t indulge in any of them (sadly) I made sure the guests could still enjoy!
There were a few aspects of the shower that I requested including the dessert table. I wanted to create this girly and luxurious spread that served mini donuts, customized cut out cookies, a gluten free/dairy free cake and candies. Each dessert stuck with the theme by mostly being white with hints of pink and gold. I also wanted to have a section where guests would sign my guestbook with a polaroid image using funny props. I’ve seen this done before and thought it was perfect since we basically collect polaroids. I have the funniest photos that I will cherish forever!
Although I knew more or less what was happening with decorations, gifts, flowers, etc, they all still managed to surprise me! The biggest surprise of them all was having the amazing, Stephanie Arvelo of city and palm, capture the entire day. I was so stunned to see her as she usually is snapping my #OOTD's. It was such a beautiful moment to share with her and is something that really made my day memorable. The pictures came out fabulous (as always) and I couldn’t wait to share with you guys! Next up: my bachelorette… stay tuned!
